5 Roadtrip Tips
With summer comes lots of traveling. And whether you're flying or planning a road trip, there are certain things that I think are a must have to make the journey more fun! This post will be specifically about road-trips because that is what my family is doing this year, but some of things can definitely be used for airplanes as well!
1. BRING LOTS OF SNACKS
Snacks are a very important part of a road trip. For my family, food keeps us sane throughout the long hours on the road, and without snacks, the trip would turn rotten pretty quickly. Some of my favorite snacks for road trips are the Quakers salt and pepper rice crackers, gold fish, gummy worms, apples, strawberries, and of course coffee!
2. MAKE A VARIETY OF PLAYLISTS
Making sure you have a good variety of playlists before the trip is super important. I always find myself trying to make good playlists while I am on the road and it is so much harder to do because of no wifi and you just want to have those playlists ready to go for whatever mood you are in. So I typically create one country playlist, one Taylor swift playlist, one mellow/slow playlist for mornings and nights on the road, and one dance/sing along playlist. I have found that this is a perfect variety for all times of the day and keeps me entertained while looking out the window or trying to sleep!
3. MAKE YOURSELF COMFORTABLE
For every trip I go on, making sure I am comfortable is at the top of my list. This includes the clothes I wear and what I bring with me! For road trips I prefer to wear leggings or athletic shorts. Both are super comfortable to sleep in and are fine to wear out on pitstops or breaks. Then I will just wear some flip flops and a simply comfy t-shirt because it is usually pretty hot during the summer trips. Also to stay comfortable, I will be bringing some under the eye masks for when my allergies are acting up or when my eyes just need a break to relax! I have been obsessed with under eye masks lately and know they will come in handy a ton on the road!
4. BRING A CAMERA
Hopefully, bringing a camera is something you don't have to think twice about, but I thought I would mention it anyway. Whether you use it to take pictures or video, or both, bringing a camera on you trip is so important. I am just going to leave it at that because I know you all know the importance of a camera.
5. PORTABALE CHARGER
Bringing a portable charger and other little accessories can help make your trip much more smooth and easy going. Portable chargers are super helpful, especially if your phone is the only camera you brought. Other things like hand sanitizer, gum, lotion, sunscreen, wipes, and others can really help make your trip the best it can be!
I hope some of these tips were helpful to you as you go on some last minute summer adventures!
