starting videography

Youtube:

I started making youtube videos about 2 years ago just for my family vacations and trips with friends and it became something I really started to enjoy. I loved filming the clips and putting them together in a creative way to music to look back on and remember! I recently branched out a bit with my boyfriend and started a blog channel, which if you don’t know what it is they are videos just about everyday life kind of like home videos for everyone to see. I have really enjoyed putting them together and you can click a link here to view the channel!

I also have a personal channel which I will link here that I do a variety of different videos. I have done a haul videos and some fun challenge videos and I plan to do some fun baking ones in the future! so go check those out and subscribe if you can it would really mean a lot. I really put a lot of my energy and creativity into these videos so I hope you can enjoy them!

Cross & Co. Studios:

starting these youtube channels really made me realize that I can turn these talents of mine into a job. and my boyfriend and I took these talents and turned it into our own little business. we have a handful of weddings scheduled this summer to film along with some business videos. Videography has already given us amazing opportunities to film for SeaWorld, travel to Alaska, and also travel to Hong Kong and Taiwan in late July! I am so blessed to be doing what I love and make money doing it and I cannot wait to see where it takes me.

I encourage you to really pursue what sets your heart and fire and what you are passionate about. There is nothing better than doing what you love especially with amazing people. You can check out some videos we have made here and I’m sure there is plenty more to come.

cloudy fair day

the Del Mar Fair in San Diego is always one of the first things I do in the summer. the scary rides, weird smells, and hard-to-win prizes make summer feel official and it is something I look forward to every year. this year my boyfriend and I went together for the first time and I had such a great time. we got some kettle corn, rode the swings until we were dizzy, and he even won me a cute stuffed animal at a balloon popping game! it was perfect cloudy weather and not super crowded so we barely had to wait in lines for anything. and I can’t wait until I get to go again next year.

graduation!

I am officially done with high school.. I now have to enter “the big world out there” and be an adult.. it is probably one of the most surreal moments. everything hit me at once. I am going to college. I am no longer going to a school where I know the person sitting next to me everywhere I go. I get to embark on a new, scary adventure full of exciting things but also scary things. new classes, new people, new teachers, new everything, and it is honestly frightening to think about. I know I will do well, I will make new friends, and do my best, but its hard to imagine anything different than what my life has been so far. but thank you to the people who have gotten me this far. I am excited for this next chapter in my life. and now some fun pictures from my graduation:)

last days of high school

enjoying these last few school days has really been surreal. sitting in my last bell to bell classes, talking to my teachers, goofing off with classmates… I attempted to take every moment in as it came. I so wanted everything to just pause for a few hours so I could sit and smile and look around me at the last moments of this chapter of my life. I won’t sit in desks next to these people anymore, I won’t write another essay for my English teacher ever again, and I won’t eat lunch on these tables again… the list goes on and on. but I am so grateful for the people and fun memories that make it hard to leave. without them I would not have such fond memories of this place. Thank you to those of you reading this who have a special place in my life, you helped me succeed in high school and I greatly appreciate you. so heres to the next chapter in my life!

a day at the market

going to the market is one of my favorite morning activities in the summer. and with summer fast approaching I decided to go and enjoy a sunny morning at the Vista Farmer’s Market. I love looking at the beautiful flowers, handmade items, and fresh fruit and veggies. with a coffee in hand, my boyfriend and I walked around admiring all the yummy things and we got some fresh blueberries and strawberries to snack on. it was such a beautiful day and I can’t wait for the relaxing and adventurous days of summer to come.

grad night

the number of blog posts I have done about Disneyland is almost embarrassing… but here is another one because why not. this time I went with my whole senior class for grad night. we piled in a school bus and drove up to the happiest place on earth. the day was super fun and the weather was almost perfect until suddenly we were waiting in line for Screamin’ when it started drizzling, then raining, then pouring hail!! yes it started hailing! luckily I got my rain poncho on just in time and my boyfriend and I ran to find dry covering but still got soaking wet. we hid in a little shop for a bit to dry off and then went back to get in line because we were able to stay in the park until 2am. we went on a ton of rides and the rain didn’t really help, but I still had a fun time and made the most of it. and I can’t believe I graduate in 2 weeks!!

senior prom

when I went to my first homecoming 4 years ago, I don’t think I had any idea how fast time would go by and I would be 18 and going to my last high school dance… literally I think I blinked and I was already finishing senior projects and thinking about college. Senior Prom really did come quickly, and I was so excited (having the best date EVER!) to get and create these last memories.

we went and got our boutonnière and corsage picked out (bringing in a Pinterest picture for reference of course) and I had to take in every moment knowing it would be my last time. my last time picking out a fancy dress, finding heels that match, deciding how to do my hair, and where to take pictures beforehand. it was all so sentimental but relieving.

personally I do love getting dressed up and going to a fancy event every once and a while, but it can also be a stressful and almost anxious experience for me as well. I get caught up in trying to make every decision perfect and make everything fit together perfectly. but this time I told myself I wouldn’t let that happen and I would go with the flow. and amazingly everything came together so amazing! I found my dress months early in the right size on just a regular shopping day, had some amazing people offer for us to take pictures with them at the Carlsbad Flower Fields, found shoes that were titled with my name and in my size, and had another friend willingly offer to do my makeup! things literally could not have happened more spontaneously, and although it didn’t take away from the busy time of it all, I still remained calm and took in every possible moment to store away in my memory.

the night was full of amazing memories with some of my closest friends. we danced the night away, ate until we felt like exploding and had the best time. the night was unforgettable and I’m so excited for what is coming in the future.
