Fall Prop Essentials
September is here! And with September comes a lot of fall photoshoots, blog posts, Instagrams, and so much more! When it comes to planning out photos, it helps me when I make a list of all the props I might want to use and lay them out so I can see them all at once and get inspired. so today I thought I would share with you guys the props I pulled out for my fall mug launch! Hope this helps you guys in all your fun seasonal photoshoots!
The first prop is cotton branches or stands. Cotton is a great prop that adds natural elements to your photos. They can easily be put around whatever subject your photographing and are small so they can fit pretty much anywhere!
Number two is pine cones! Pine cones can also add a natural element to your photos. They’re more woodsy and natural and are really easy to find at most stores or just on a walk around the block!
Number three is cinnamon sticks! Personally this is one of my favorite fall styling pieces! Especially for styling mugs, coffee, or hot cocoa, cinnamon sticks are great to lay around the subject!
Books are number four and they are a great layering piece for fall. I love to stack two book on top of each other, lay one open, or put the subject on top of the books. The older the better when it comes to your book props!
Mugs! I am obsessed with fall mugs! This one has a special place in my heart since it is a mug that I designed and is up for sale on my shop! But mugs are great for cozy fall photos and add a warm touch to photos.
Candles! Obviously candles are the perfect fall prop. Light them for a dark cozy mood or leave them unlit for a prop in the background!
Number seven is wood circles or any pieces of wood. This is another way to add nature and woodsy elements into your photos.
Number eight is apples! Apples add a fall cozy feel to your photos. Depending on the color they can also add a a fun pop of color against the woodsy elements.
Cheeseboards and cutting boards are super cute for fall flatlays and photos.
Number two is socks! Socks are super cozy and warm and are perfect for any fall fall photoshoot!
Last prop idea is scarves! Red, orange, yellow, black, white, pretty much any scarf or blanket can make a really good cozy prop!
