Room Tour
So I am so excited to finally be doing this post! It has been a long time coming because I have wanted my room to be exactly how I pictured it before doing this whole post, but now it's officially done and I am so ready to finally be sharing it with you! Every little detail has come together so well over this last year when I painted it white. I got some wood palettes for my bed, picked out pillows, and also created my own wood peg boards. But, even the little things like all the picture frames, books, and plants have come together to well and I am so happy and proud of it. So let me give you the tour!
First when we walk in you see my mint storage cabinet/hideaway desk that I found at an antique shop a while ago, and the two 6 foot tall peg board that Jacob helped me make 2 years ago. The peg boards are definitely a labor of love, but I think it makes it so much more special when you put your own sweat and tears into it. On the peg board shelves I am always mixing and matching and switching things out, but I have a lot of picture frames, antique glasses, candles, and other cute things like recipe boxes, polaroid albums and more.
On the other side of the room I have my bed and desk area. For my bed I have found four big wood palettes to put my mattress on, simple white sheets, and my all-time favorite blanket that I just got for Christmas from SaraLouCo on top. I have seen it all over Instagram and had to get one for myself and it has been especially handy these last couple of extremely cold California weeks. For pillows, I have a fury pink one from World Market and a tribal shape pastel one from Urban Outfitters. On the wall I hung some twine and use little clothes pins to hang my favorite pictures. I think this is such a cheap and cute way to display pictures and I love being able to switch out the picture for holidays! Above my bed I have a cute, grey felt letter board that I got from Hobby Lobby and I love putting inspiring little sayings on it! Then I also have the chalkboard that I found at an antique store a while ago and I painted the edges white and sanded it down to add some character!
Then on to my desk area! I have this cute wood desk that has been passed down in my family that I love! It has cute little compartments inside for letters and al kinds of things. Then I have this white modern chair from Hobby Lobby paired with this other pastel tribal print pillow from Urban Outfitters. On top I have this nice bouquet, some candles of course, and pictures of family and friends! Then lastly, to the left I have my record player and all my records! I absolutely love collecting records and playing them as I clean, work, write, and get ready for the day!
So that is the end of my room tour! I am so happy with how it finally turned out after a year of collecting, painting, and crafting! It is truly my happy place and I hope you enjoyed!
