Thanksgiving Festivities

Thanksgiving Festivities

Thanksgiving is always full of lots of baking, eating, and family time. The day before Thanksgiving we baked and baked almost all day. We made mini pies, spice cake, and all kinds of things to have for the next day. It was fun all being in the kitchen and baking together.

Then on the next day I woke up early to go with jacob and his family to the Oceanside Turkey Trot. I had never done the Turkey Trot before and it was really fun! thanks to California weather it was about 85 degrees and sunny so that wasn't all that fun but other than that it was cool getting to walk by the beach before all the craziness of the day began. So then we got dressed or the day and started to prep the table and food. I decorated the table for Jacob's family just pulling some of his moms things together with some of mine and it turned out so pretty! I made the place cards with everyones names on them and I think they really added a nice tough to the whole table. Then we ate our first meal and spent time at Jacobs house and then headed over to celebrate with my family. We ate out second meal and had dessert and then played some games. The group can get pretty loud and competitive but it makes for a really fun time together. Later we decided to stop at Target to get a little Black Friday shopping in and that was fun walking around and trying to spot all the deals. Overall this years Thanksgiving was so great. it was the first time I had two thanksgiving meals with two families I love so much. And they are definitely not at the top of my thankful list.
