My Wedding Day
I am also excited to finally share my wedding day with you all! This whole day was definitely the best day of my entire life. Every time I look back at these photos and videos it makes me so emotional. I wish I could go back and relive every perfect moment because it seriously cold not have been a better day.
My alarm went off at about 7:00 so I could get up and shower. So I got up and showered and got dressed in just some comfy clothes to go get my hair done. I brought my sisters with me and we stopped at Starbucks for some tea and headed to Dry Bar in Del Mar. I brought some pictures with me so I could show the hairdresser and she did such an amazing job! I had her do a dutch braid around the front to the back and curl the rest. I also added some babyโs breath for a floral touch.
Then we headed back to the house where all the bridesmaids would meet us to do makeup and hair and get dressed. Hannah, one of my bridesmaids, brought us all Starbucks which was so sweet! We had snacks, put on our cute robes, and did our makeup. My dress is from Posh Brides in Carlsbad, I did my own makeup, my shoes are Steve Madden nude heels, the getting ready robes and bags are from Etsy, and the bridesmaids dresses are from Nordstrom. I also did all the invites myself and addressed them myself. The envelopes are from Paper Source and the perfume I wore is Daisy from Marc Jacobs, and that was my wedding gift from Jacob.
After getting ready and putting the dress on, we headed to the venue. We had the wedding at Williamโs Barn in San Marcos and it was the absolute perfect venue for us. We could choose all the vendors, caterers, renters and everything which I lOVED! I wanted it to be a blank slate so I could do exactly what I wanted.
When we got to the venue, Jacob and I met for a prayer behind doors. We didnโt want to see each other but I felt like a prayer before walking down the isle would be exactly what I needed.
And then we waited for the ceremony! We girls waited in the back kitchen while guests began to sit down. Surprisingly I wasnโt getting nervous at all. I was mostly just so excited to marry Jacob and have fun with all our favorite people! We rented all our tables and chairs and other furniture pieces from Farm Tables and More, the flowers were by Splendid Sentiments the calligraphy and signs I did myself (Grown with Grace), and we bought and hung the lights ourselves.
It was time to walk down the isle. We lined up and I could hear the music playing. Again I donโt know how I didnโt have a pinch of nervousness in my body. I was just so so excited to finally see Jacob and hold hid hand and say I do. The doors opened and my dad walked my down the isle. I didnโt see anyone except Jacob the entire time. We had a family friend officiate the wedding and everyone said it was the best ceremony they had witnessed. Jacob and I read our own vows, gave roses to our moms, and were finally pronounced husband and wife!
Then it was time for photos and cocktail hour! We had pretzels from Auntie Annes, water, beer and wine, a polaroid photo guest book, and a football to throw around the grass.
After photos it was time for the reception! We had Spaghetti Factory pasta and Panera salad and bread for dinner, and my mom made the cake! Our first dance song was โYoursโ by Russel Dickerson and we had toasts from my dad, Jacobโs cousin Cody the Best Man, and my sister Sydney the Maid of Honor. My sisters and cousin even surprised me with a performance of โSistersโ from White Christmas. Then we cut the cake, tossed the bouquet, and danced the night away. The dancing was a one of the best times of the night. Everyone was out on the dance floor at some point in the night. Our DJ was Andrew Cabrera from AJ Entertainment and he seriously made the night. Then finally we drove away in a vintage car we found on Vinty. We even stopped at In-N-Out on the way out and stayed the night at La Costa Resort and Spa. It was truly the best night of our lives.
