Sisterly Date Day

Realizing that my days at home consist of a grand total of one more year, I want to make sure I make every second matter and make as many memories with my siblings as possible. So, one Sunday morning with nothing but free time, I took my youngest sibling Makayla who's now 9 on a little date by the ocean. We sang songs in the car and talked about life and school. She found it hilarious how DNCE's song Cake by the Ocean came on while we were ironically eating muffins by the ocean. We got coffee and muffins at Pannikin Coffee and Tea then headed to the Encinitas Farmer's Market to browse on this oh so sunny and perfect Cali day. We looked at the fruit, bought a succulent, and walked through the market observing and sampling. It was a perfect date spent with my mini-me that I hope she remembers and looks back on with joy in the future.
